Prior to Jerry Managhans appointment
as Deputy Administrator of the Workers Compensation Division, he managed the Compliance Section of WCD where he was responsible for managing WCD regulatory programs involving audit, investigations,
licensing, certifications, sanctions and reimbursements from special funds. Jerry has worked in various capacities in WCD since 1983, including six years as a field auditor and in management
positions with the Field Audit Unit, the former Medical Review and Abuse Section, the Benefits Section and as Assistant Manager in the Compliance Section.
Having been involved in implementing major workers compensation legislative changes that occurred in 1990, 1995, and the most recent legislative sessions, Jerry is familiar with the issues
facing labor, management, and the workers compensation industry. He has a strong interest in promoting better customer service and helping assure regulation is conducted in a fair, objective,
efficient, and consistent manner.
Prior to coming to WCD, Jerry spent six years as an independent insurance auditor; he also performed loss control services for private multiple-line insurance companies. He has a bachelors
degree in business administration from the University of Montana.
