Managed
care organization/insurer contracts
|
Certified
managed care organizations (MCOs) may only contract with insurers
and self-insured employers [ORS 656.245(4) and OAR 436-015-0035(4)].
MCOs cannot directly contract with third party administrators or employers.
However, an MCO may contract with an insurer on behalf of a specific
employer as long as that employer is not a "party" to the
contract.
